Mapping the World - Armenia: Small Country, Big History

Description

A tour through the history of Armenia, a small mountainous country which, since independence in 1991, has been caught between difficult neighbours: Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Armenia is an ancestral country that has always had to resist powerful empires, and its people suffered terrible massacres in the 19th century, followed by the first genocide of the modern era in the 20th century.
